Welcome to East Boro Housing Trust's website. 

This year East Boro is celebrating its Golden Jubilee, marking its fifty year history within Wimborne and the wider Dorset area and commemorating the work and inspiration of its founder Peggy Bartley.

Established in 1960, East Boro is a Wimborne based company specialising in housing and support services for the sheltered elderly, adults with learning disabilities and other vulnerable client groups in social housing need.

Today East Boro owns and manages over 40 housing schemes across the Dorset area - which equates to approximately 340 units of accommodation - supporting in the region of some 370 tenant customers. East Boro provides accommodation for:

  • the sheltered elderly
  • adults with learning disabilities
  • single parent families
  • single young people
  • general needs housing for young couples/small families.

In addition to its core tenant base, East Boro also offers services to a wider customer base to provide housing related support to people living in their own homes in Bournemouth and Poole, through the:

East Boro prides itself on being "big enough to cope but small enough to care" and as an accredited Supporting People Support Service Provider, East Boro seeks to provide tenants with more than just a home. Our customers are our reason for being and East Boro strives to ensure it involves tenants and customers alike at the centre of everything it does.
